Art Direction | Puma Campaigns

Very happy with the way this campaign for Puma came out. Our producer secured us a sweet location at Memorial stadium (Seattle Reign FC) at the Seattle Center. The Stadium was built in 1947 and is just the right amount of broke-down to create an amazing backdrop for this motivational campaign. I wanted this to be more about the frame of mind before the competition and the team captured exactly that. Really happy with the teamwork that made this happen. Enjoy!

A really fun shoot with a focus on action and the versatile nature of the PUMA brand. I wanted to convey the sense of motion in the images and add in a bit of drama with the photography. Carlton, my photographer, did a great job shaping the subject with light. We used a total of 6 Canon 600EX-RT Speedlites, two on camera right, and two on the left with another pair for a fill. All controlled by a Mark III. This also allowed us to shoot at a wide aperture to blur out the background.
