Visual Identity | ConText Event Creative

Question

How do you create a digital conference that feels alive, connected, and true to a brand built on communication?

Exploration

In 2020, as in-person events disappeared, Zipwhip set out to host its first-ever digital conference—a two-day virtual event focused on the power of texting for business. My role was to help guide the event from concept to execution: facilitating a naming session with the team, defining the creative direction, and ensuring the experience was cohesive across every touchpoint. The challenge was to build an identity and event experience that extended Zipwhip’s brand while standing on its own.

Expression

I led the creative vision and designed the visual identity for ConText. The logo features a “window” cutout in the word text, reflecting how businesses of all kinds fit into the texting ecosystem. Beyond the visual design, I directed motion graphics, presentation visuals, landing pages, and long-form video content, creating a consistent, on-brand experience across the virtual platform.

Meaning

ConText provided a digital space that felt intentional, engaging, and human at a time when in-person connection wasn’t possible. The event successfully brought together customers, partners, and industry leaders while showcasing how thoughtful design and strategy can make a virtual experience feel connected and memorable.
